Getting started
Uploading files, folders and ZIPs
What you can upload, how the homepage is detected, size limits and what’s filtered out.
Drag files onto the upload area of a site, or use Choose files / Choose folder.
What happens to each upload
- One HTML file — published as the homepage, whatever its name.
- One other file (PDF, image, video, audio…) — published with a viewer page that displays or downloads it.
- Several files or a folder — zipped in your browser, then unpacked on our servers with the folder structure intact.
- A ZIP — unpacked. If every file is inside one top-level folder, that folder is lifted to the root.
Finding the homepage
We look for index.html at the root. If there isn’t one but there’s exactly one HTML file, it becomes the homepage. If there are no HTML files at all, we generate a simple file index.
Filtered automatically
__MACOSX/, .DS_Store, Thumbs.db, .git/, node_modules/ and other dotfiles (except .well-known/) are skipped.
Not allowed
Executables and server scripts — .exe, .dll, .bat, .sh, .php, .py, .jar, .apk, .msi, .dmg and similar — are rejected.
