Getting started

Publishing pasted code (HTML, React, Markdown)

How StaticHero turns pasted HTML, React components and Markdown into a working page.

Choose Paste code when creating a site, or open Overview → Or paste code instead on an existing site. Pasting replaces index.html; other files stay as they are.

Full HTML documents

Anything starting with <!doctype html> or containing <html> is published exactly as pasted.

HTML fragments

Snippets without <html> are wrapped in a minimal page with a doctype, charset and viewport tag.

React components

Code with React imports, JSX or export default function is treated as a React component. The generated page:

  • loads React 18 and ReactDOM,
  • loads Tailwind CSS,
  • maps lucide-react, recharts, framer-motion, date-fns, lodash, papaparse, mathjs, three, d3 and chart.js to CDN builds,
  • compiles your JSX/TypeScript in the browser and renders the default export.

Imports from @/components/... can’t be resolved — inline those components first.

Markdown

Anything else is treated as Markdown and rendered as a clean, readable page.
