In short
To host an Angular app on StaticHero, run ng build (production is the default), then upload the dist/<project-name>/browser folder. Turn on SPA mode so Angular Router paths work when refreshed. If you use prerendering (SSG), the prerendered HTML pages are served directly; server-side rendering at request time is not supported.

How to deploy Angular to StaticHero
- 01
Build your project
Run
ng buildin your project folder. - 02
Find the
dist/<app>/browser/folderThat folder contains plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript — the only thing your visitors need.
- 03
Drag it onto StaticHero
Drop the folder (or a ZIP of it) into your site in the dashboard.
- 04
Turn on SPA mode
In site settings, enable single-page app mode so client-side routes work on refresh.
No build servers
You build where you already build; we publish in seconds. No queue, no build minutes.
Instant rollback
Every upload is a version. Restore any previous build with one click.
Forms & analytics
Add a contact form and visitor analytics without a backend or extra scripts.
Custom domain + HTTPS
Connect your domain with one DNS record; certificates are automatic.
Configuration
No changes are required. If you deploy to the domain root, keep the default base href:
"build": {
"options": {
"outputPath": "dist/my-app",
"baseHref": "/"
}
}Routing
Angular’s PathLocationStrategy produces clean URLs like /orders/42. Enable SPA mode in StaticHero, or include /* /index.html 200 in a _redirects file under src/ and add it to your assets in angular.json.
Prerendering for SEO
Angular’s SSG/prerender option generates HTML for known routes at build time. Upload the browser folder as usual — each prerendered route has its own index.html, which StaticHero serves for that path while the SPA fallback handles everything else.
Which folder do I upload — dist or browser?
+
Since Angular 17 the deployable files live in dist/<app>/browser. Upload that folder, not dist itself.
Does Angular Universal SSR work?
+
Request-time SSR needs a Node.js server and isn’t supported. Prerendered (SSG) routes work great.
Can I use environment files?
+
Yes. They’re compiled in at build time, so build with the right configuration before uploading.
