Editing files in the browser
Use the Files tab to edit HTML, CSS and JavaScript, create and delete files, and publish with one click.
Open a site and go to Files.
- Click a file to open it in the editor. Text files (HTML, CSS, JS, JSON, SVG, Markdown,
_redirects) are editable; images and other binaries are previewed. - New file — click the + icon and type a path such as
about.htmlorcss/extra.css. - Delete — select a file and click the trash icon. Click again to undo before saving.
- Save & publish — or press ⌘/Ctrl + S. All pending changes become one new version.
Unsaved changes are marked with a dot. If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, your browser will ask you to confirm.
