What you can host

A summary of the content rules, automatic safety review and how to appeal.

You can host almost any legitimate website. You can’t host phishing pages, malware, scams, illegal content, or content that infringes others’ rights. The full rules are in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Automatic review

Every new version is checked for common phishing patterns (password fields combined with brand names or account-verification language, data sent to messaging bots, obfuscated scripts). Flagged sites show a “being reviewed” page until a person approves them — usually within hours. Legitimate login pages occasionally get flagged; reply to our email if that happens.

Reserved names

Addresses containing well-known brand names (for example banks or big tech companies) can’t be registered, to protect visitors from impersonation.
