In short
To host a Vue app on StaticHero, run npm run build to produce the dist folder, then upload it. If you use Vue Router in history mode (createWebHistory), turn on SPA mode in site settings so every route serves index.html. Nuxt sites can be hosted with nuxi generate, which produces a static .output/public folder.

How to deploy Vue to StaticHero
- 01
Build your project
Run
npm run buildin your project folder. - 02
Find the
dist/folderThat folder contains plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript — the only thing your visitors need.
- 03
Drag it onto StaticHero
Drop the folder (or a ZIP of it) into your site in the dashboard.
- 04
Turn on SPA mode
In site settings, enable single-page app mode so client-side routes work on refresh.
No build servers
You build where you already build; we publish in seconds. No queue, no build minutes.
Instant rollback
Every upload is a version. Restore any previous build with one click.
Forms & analytics
Add a contact form and visitor analytics without a backend or extra scripts.
Custom domain + HTTPS
Connect your domain with one DNS record; certificates are automatic.
Vue Router history mode
createWebHistory() gives you clean URLs, which need a server-side fallback to index.html. SPA mode provides exactly that. Hash mode (createWebHashHistory()) works without any configuration.
Hosting Nuxt
Nuxt can generate a fully static site: run npx nuxi generate and upload .output/public. Server routes and request-time rendering aren’t available on static hosts, but pages, layouts, content and client-side data fetching work.
VitePress and documentation
VitePress builds to docs/.vitepress/dist. Upload that folder for a fast docs site with full-text search, and connect docs.yourproduct.com as a custom domain.
Does Vue 2 work too?
+
Yes. Any version that builds to static files works — Vue CLI outputs to dist/ as well.
Can I use environment variables?
+
Vite’s VITE_ variables are embedded at build time. Don’t include secrets; they’re visible in the bundle.
My assets 404 after deploy.
+
Check the base option in vite.config — it should be '/' for a site at the domain root.
Your site could be live in the next minute.
One site free, forever. No credit card, no setup, no servers.
