StaticHero is a hosting service for static websites. You upload HTML files, a folder, a ZIP, a PDF or paste code from an AI tool, and it’s published instantly at yourname.statichero.site or your own domain — with HTTPS, form handling, analytics and version history built in.

A website made of files that are sent to the browser as they are — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, PDFs — without code running on a server for each visit. Portfolios, landing pages, documentation, event pages and most sites built by AI tools or site builders are static.

Usually in under ten seconds. Create an account, choose an address, drop your files and the site is live with HTTPS as soon as the upload finishes.

No. If you can drag a file into a browser window you can publish on StaticHero. Developers get extras like _redirects, _headers, SPA mode and JSON form responses.

Single HTML files, folders, ZIP archives, PDFs, images, videos and any other static assets. You can also paste HTML, Markdown or a React component. Executables and server scripts (.exe, .php, .sh and similar) aren’t allowed.

Yes. Upload a new version at any time (the link stays the same), or open the Files tab to edit HTML, CSS and JavaScript directly in your browser.

Yes. The Free plan hosts 1 website on statichero.site — up to 10 MB — with HTTPS and 3 saved versions, forever. Forms, custom domains and analytics come with paid plans. No badges or ads are added to your site.

Starter is $5/month, Pro is $15/month and Business is $35/month. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free: $50, $150 and $350 a year. See the pricing page for everything included.

Yes. All plans, including Free, can be used for business and client work, as long as the content follows our acceptable use policy.

Any time, from the billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period, then move to Free.

Nothing is deleted. If you have more sites than your new plan allows, your oldest sites stay online and the rest are paused until you upgrade or remove some. You can’t add custom domains beyond your new plan’s limit, and paid-only settings such as passwords are switched off.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which supports major cards and many local payment methods. Taxes are calculated automatically based on your location.

Yes, on paid plans: up to 5 custom domains on Starter, 15 on Pro and 50 on Business. Add your domain in the dashboard, create one DNS record (an A record for a root domain or a CNAME for a subdomain), and we’ll detect it and issue a free HTTPS certificate.

Always. statichero.site subdomains and custom domains get free, automatically renewed certificates.

Yes, in site settings. The old address stops working, so update any links you’ve shared.

Not yet. Buy your domain from any registrar (Namecheap, Cloudflare, Porkbun, GoDaddy…) and connect it in a minute.

Set your form’s action to /_forms/contact (any name works) and method to POST. StaticHero stores each submission, filters spam, and emails you. See the forms guide.

No. On paid plans we add a tiny cookieless tracker automatically when your pages are served. You can switch it off per site.

It’s designed to be privacy-first: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, raw IP addresses are never stored, and visitor hashes rotate daily. Most sites can use it without a consent banner.

Yes. Referrals from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot are recognised as their own sources.

Yes, on all paid plans. Visitors see a simple password page before any content loads.

Yes. Turn on “Hide from search engines” in site settings to add a noindex header and meta tag.

Normal website traffic is included on every plan. We may contact sites with extreme traffic that looks like file distribution or CDN use, which our acceptable use policy doesn’t allow.

Every upload is scanned for common phishing patterns, brand names in subdomains are restricted, and anyone can report abuse. Flagged sites are reviewed by a person before going back online.

Yes. Every version can be downloaded as a ZIP from the site’s version history.
